Casa de la Cerveza Case Study: Migration to VTEX IO
Casa de la Cerveza was born in 2017 with the dream of bringing the best beers from around the world to Chile, being part of the incubator ZX Ventures, owned by AB Inveb.
Client’s need
This project included the migration of its online store VTEX Legacy to the new version of VTEX IO and the realization of customizations for Casa de la Cerveza’s own commercial actions.
Tasks performed by Known Online
- Migration of your VTEX Legacy online store to the new version of VTEX IO with all the necessary SEO implementations to ensure minimal or no traffic loss during the migration. The SEO and Performance team worked together with the client on redirects, indexing and correct cataloging. In addition, Known Online is the only VTEX partner that is also a Google Marketing Platform partner, ensuring that the stores and marketplaces we deliver have the best practices in Analytics measurement, ready to measure and optimize.
- Tailor-made customizations: Known Online incorporated three extra functionalities to the native VTEX IO through the development of customized applications, offering the most complete platform:
- Integration of the My Account module with the wallet system of the Casa de la Cerveza virtual wallet so that users could see all the gift cards they have enabled and all the voucher elements they have available for use on the site and can redeem them for effective gift cards in the company. In this way, Casa de la Cerveza’s CRM was united with the site, allowing customers to have an integrated experience since they have everything in the same portal to facilitate and enhance their own use of the wallet.
- Three customizations were made for the promotions advertisement in order to improve the conversion rate. A visual element was developed within the site to show users how much money they have left in their shopping cart to reach the next prize.
- A customization of Gift Cards purchases was made. A Custom Product Page was developed for the assembly of Gift Cards within the site.
Results
- The site improved performance by 30%.
- Site maintenance time was reduced by 50% because VTEX IO provides a tool called Site Editor that allows the marketing team to modify graphical elements of the site without having to resort to a development team.
