We share the case of Torneos and tell you how was the implementation of VTEX of the stores AFA Shop, SoyCuervo, Tienda Pincha and Diablo Soy and the integrations made with their ERP, the assembly of the returns portal and the current evolutionary support.
VTEX implementation and integrations
In the fast-paced world of technology and e-commerce, leading companies must adapt quickly to remain competitive. That is why Torneos, a company with more than 40 years of experience in generating sports content and creating solutions for the sports and entertainment industry, decided to further enhance its digital presence in the market. With offices in Argentina and Colombia, Torneos is a major player in the organization of sporting events, the commercialization of rights for competitions and marketing services for sports.
The problem and the search for solutions
Prior to joining Known Online, Torneos operated with Oracle Commerce, a top-tier but expensive e-commerce tool with limited regional penetration. High support fees and lack of ability to gain a foothold in the Argentine market led the company to consider other options once the license expired. The search for a more flexible, efficient and scalable solution led them to investigate different alternatives for the AFA Shop, SoyCuervo, Tienda Pincha and Diablo Soy sites.
Known Online, VTEX partner
In September 2022, Torneos found the answer to their needs thanks to a recommendation from VTEX, one of the main players in the e-commerce platform market. It was then that they met us as a Development, Marketing and BI agency.
VTEX implementation and integrations
During the 9-month period, work was carried out from start to finish in the following 4 areas:
- VTEX IO Implementation: Known Online worked hand in hand with Torneos to develop and customize an e-commerce portal, ultitienda using the VTEX IO platform. This implementation enabled a seamless and engaging shopping experience for customers, resulting in higher conversion and retention rates. In addition, the following benefits are obtained: development resource savings, quality code, flexibility and scalability, and automations and integrations.
- VTEX and Oracle ERP integrations: Known Online carried out an integration between the VTEX platform and Oracle ERP. This integration allowed real-time tracking of available stock, as well as the flow of order and invoicing information.
- Returns portal: A returns portal integrated with VTEX (for order cancellation and stock replenishment), the invoicing system (for issuing credit notes) and the ERP (for order management) was implemented to automate the process of receiving requests for the cancellation and return of partial or total orders.
- VTEX Evolutionary Support: Known Online’s team advises the company on the optimal use of the VTEX platform, ensuring that they take full advantage of all its functionalities and features.
